Burke County, NC native Charles E. Bristol born September 1921 is now 87 years old. One of nine children and the grandson of slaves, Charles learned how to play the guitar and sing from his mother at age nine. His soulful music remains unspoiled by outside influences and is authentic. Charles play his blues " The Dirty Blues " Piedmont Style from rural North Carolina
He recently recieved for his 87th birthday a Gibson Houndog Dobro and an endorsement by Gibson as a Gibson "Real Deal" bluesman
