Reaching within himself for an appreciation of rich and eclectic musical traditions, Tukso Okey is an original -- a musical genre unto himself. From a small lad, Tukso took in the music the urban world around him, and he has turned it around to give it back to us with richness and a robust passion. He plays solo but, with the assistance of electronics, he builds before us music that soon have us believing that we are listening to a full band with percussion, bass, and rhythm. And then he jams with a raw lead guitar and a hard earthy vocal quality that can reach very different places in each person who listens.
